untitled (Hudson Valley Ghost Column 1), 2017
Historic Hudson Valley-made Lahey bricks and unprocessed Cormo sheep wool sourced regionally from a fiber farm in New Paltz, NY comprise this site-specific sculpture installed at Collaborative Concepts Farm Project, Hudson Valley, NY. Situated on a working farm off a large field, on an animal path leading to their watering hole, the hollow brick column echoes the surrounding trees, local ruins, and the largely abandoned, once large-scale regional industries of brick-making and wool production.
