Untitled (Webs, Newburgh), 2018
cobwebs, paper, adhesive
18 x 25” / 21.5 x 28” with frame
Part of a series of works on paper made using abandoned cobwebs from specific sites, such as the homes in which I have lived, reflect on traces of entangled human and non-human dwelling and co-habitation, as well as the process of reflection itself.
I made untitled (Webs, Newburgh) as I was moving out of a house in Newburgh, NY. I used old cobwebs from the exterior of the house and patio on the upper left, and cobwebs from the interior of the house on the lower right.
